 ISQ ― Under these action principles, Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office (ASAO) was established in 1999 by three accountants as an accounting office specializing in the financial area. From its foundation, amid the drastically changing economic environment, ASAO has continued to make a major contribution to the revitalization of the financial industry, acting not only as a player in the securitization and funds business but also as a professional group that provides consulting services.

 ASAO’s current vision is to evolve into being “a comprehensive financial service provider.” To realize this goal we draw upon the experience we have acquired and the networks we have developed to date, and extend and strengthen the sphere of our activities inside and outside Japan. We are pushing ahead with a growth strategy through “collaboration with ASA Group companies” with the aim of widening our business perspective.

Types of jobs Local and global tax and accounting advisors who can provide services for client needs of expanding business to worldwide and their international business strategies.
Applicant eligibility Certified public tax accountants, Successful applicants who hold more than 3 subjects for certified public tax accountant exam, CPAs, U.S. CPAs
Person requirements:
 *Interested in works of the financial field
 *Work experience in audit corporation and/or accounting office
 *Good communication skills in business English and Japanese (TOEIC score of about 800)


Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office is now inviting applications for employment on the following compensation and employment conditions:

Salary Payable monthly (\200,000 and up) for an annual salary of \3,000,000 and up
In accordance with our salary regulations, we will offer you the best possible salary taking your previous salary, experience, capabilities and other relevant matters into consideration.
Bonus twice a year / Annual pay raise
Benefits Annual pay raise (January) / Bonus twice a year (June, December)

Regular medical checks (These are conducted by a doctor who makes regular visits on a monthly basis.)

CV review will be carried out by the department making the appointment.
Upon completion of CV review, you will be notified of the date of interview.
CV review will be carried out in about a week after receiving your application documents.
You will be notified as to whether or not you were successful in passing this stage.

Interview

You will be interviewed once or twice. Informally appointed applicants will be presented with employment conditions at the time of interview (“offer interview”).
Interview will be conducted by the responsible person at the department making the appointment, a Human Resources staff member, partners and so forth.
Interview result will be available in about one week.
We are happy to meet with and get to know many applicants.

How applicants’
personal information
will be treated
Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office will handle all applicants’ personal information submitted to us for our employment activities (“Personal Information”) in accordance with the rules described below. Please be notified in advance that if you do not provide us with your personal information relating to the items we regard as indispensable, we will not be able to start employment procedures for you. Unless otherwise provided herein, the terms used relating to personal information shall be interpreted in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

(1) Purpose of using personal information provided by applicants

Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office will use personal information submitted by each applicant for the purposes indicated below except in the cases as set out in (b) below.

(a) Purposes of use:

Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office will use personal information provided by each applicant for the purposes indicated below:

1) For communication with the applicant (for notifying the applicant of the date and time of interview and its result and some other items);
2) For screening to determine if the applicant meets the requirements of a person to be employed;
3) As statistical data for future recruiting activities;
4) As basic data for employment management purposes after the applicant is employed.

(b) Exceptions to (a) above where

1) Personal Information is legally required to be used otherwise;
2) Personal Information is required to be used otherwise for the protection of human life, persons or property, it being difficult to obtain the Applicant’s consent;
3) Personal Information is particularly required to be used otherwise for the improvement of public health or the healthy development of children, it being difficult to obtain the Applicant’s consent;
4) Personal Information is required to be used otherwise in order for a national agency or local government or a person commissioned by such agency or government to cooperate in performing paperwork required by law where obtaining the Applicant’s consent is likely to obstruct the execution of such paperwork.

(2) How applicants’ personal information will be protected and kept confidential

Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office will do its best to maintain the accuracy of personal information provided by each applicant accurate and keep it updated to the extent required for the above purposes, and take all necessary and appropriate measures available at the current level of technology to prevent it from being accessed without authorization, altered or divulged.

(3) Provision of applicants’ personal information to third parties

Except in the cases below, Aoyama Sogo Accounting Office will not provide an applicant’s personal information to a third party without his/her approval, except where the applicant is unidentifiable:
1) 1) ASAO is required to provide personal information to a company, to which ASAO outsources operations, for the use purposes indicated in (1) above. (ASAO will select such outsourcee companies after ensuring they have an adequate level of protection of personal information and oversee their handling of such information by means of agreement or otherwise.);
2) 2) Applicant’s personal information is provided to a third party in a business takeover through a merger or other means;
3) 3) Upon the occurrence of any of the exceptions described in (1) (b);

(4) Window for inquiry about or correction of the registered personal information.

Q2:What is the ratio of male employees to female employees?

A:As of April 2010 there are four male employees for every six female employees.

Q3:What is the employees’ average age?

A:34 as of April 2010.

Q4:Tell me about your dress code.

A:Basically, all employees are required to wear a business suit.

Q5:Do you provide education and training courses?

A:We are now developing education and training programs in order to create a highly motivated workforce and a workplace that is easier to work in. We have frequently organized internal workshops to encourage employees to upgrade their individual skills.

Q6:It is possible to request relocation to another department or type of job?

A:Yes, although this will depend on the situation of the department or the job sought. We recommend that you first talk to someone in the Human Resources Department.

Q7:What career plan is offered?

A:Depending upon his/her capabilities and performance, an employee will basically be promoted from Associate to Staff, from Staff to Senior Staff, from Senior Staff to Manager, and from Manager to Executive.

Q8:How do you determine each employee’s salary?

A:ASAO evaluates each employee based on his/her capabilities and performance, regardless of his/her age, sex or position. Once a year, we perform personnel evaluations and determine and pay a salary that corresponds to the capabilities of the employee.

Q9:Can you send me a copy of your company brochure?

A:You can access all information on ASAO from our website. Therefore, we think it’s not necessary to send any company information such as brochures.

Q10:How much time do you take for screening applicants?

A:One month on average between CV review and informal appointment. The time required may vary depending upon the type of job applied for or the applicant’s personal situation.

Q11:Will the applicant’s academic background affect his/her screening results?

A:In no way.

Q12:What foreign language ability do you require?

A:It depends upon the type of job you apply for. English ability is not necessarily required. However, applicants proficient in English are welcome because in many projects English is used.

Q13:Can a foreign national apply?

A:Yes he/she can. Please ask when you send an application.

Q14:Where are we required to work?

A:Toranomon, Minato Ward, a minute’s walk from Kamiyacho Station on the Hibiya Line (subway). It is the nearest station.

Q15:How will you treat the personal and career history I submit?

A:As a general rule, we do not return the personal and employment history submitted by applicants. We will strictly control and handle such information and not use it for any purpose other than screening.
